Junior Network Administrator

Minimum/General Experience:

3 Years of relevant experience.

Functional Responsibility:

Adds and modifies users, profiles and server level objects in a workgroup or domain with nodes of 0 – 250. Works with Network Engineers for sound solutions, Performs phone line changes and additions through patch panels, analysis of existing phone lines, recommends changes and additions and performs estimates supporting changes or additions. Provisions storage space, share points, permissions/security, printers, anti-virus, applications and other peripherals. Implements security policies for domains and organization units. Prepares and installs lab setups, specifications/ environments for pre-production testing. Performs desktop PC and peripheral network setup and connectivity. Implements and compiles needs requirements for server lines and PCs. Assists with technology training programs for user community staff. Prepares audit criteria to ensure users, space, permissions and security are properly aligned in accordance with established unit standards. Works under Senior Network Administrator where applicable.

Minimum Education and Certifications:

Associate’s Degree and Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSE) Certification.
